About Kymberly Tinsley

Kym is the President and founder of Just Mediation Inc. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Hofstra University. Kym’s passion is helping people, families and animals. Through her love of the Law and Psychology she has devoted her life to advocating for those who aren’t able to speak up for themselves.

For many years prior to becoming a mediator, Kym worked in Civil Litigation and Matrimonial Litigation as a Paralegal where she was instrumental in trial preparation as well as preparing clients to testify at depositions and trial. Kym has sat second chair on numerous Matrimonial trials. Kym is also a highly skilled negotiator and has utilized those skills to settle countless cases over the years avoiding Litigation.

Kym has also volunteered a substantial amount of time rescuing and rehabilitating horses in danger of going to auction and slaughter.

Kym is frequently asked to participate in speaking engagements as a guest presenter at colleges and not-for-profits. Among the many topics Kym regularly discusses are Horse slaughter issues,  strategies for effectively communicating with peers and how to resolve conflict and avoid litigation.

Kym is also an active member of the following associations:

• New York State Council on Divorce Mediation  
• New York Natural Equestrians
• Islip Horseman’s Association
